The Systems 'string' works explore the nature of systems and networks looking at aspect of interconnectedness, the microcosm and the macrocosm, order and chaos, local and global, subordinate and dominant, and patterns that develop over space and time. They act as an abstract metaphor for the various systems - economic, social, cultural, and ecological - that inhabit our physical and cognitive spheres. The installation works also incorporate aspects of illusion and flux, and require the viewer to engage with the work by changing their perspective."
